Water Office

New office for Loja Local Water Company

The new headquarters of the Loja Local Water Company are located in the ground floor of an old silo from the 50s. The new construction seats under the ancient weighbridge concrete canopy as an external element in dialogue with the silo and the messy industrial environment around.

Running parallel to the road leading to Loja, the building is a long modular structure made in steel, glass and gresite. It rises from the ground to settle on a concrete base which contains the water of a reservoir, letting the office modules “float” over it. Water is constantly present inside and outside the complex. Besides, different tones of blue are used in the gresite coatings of the front, again as an artificial reference to water and as a symbol of the company’s new image.
